I'm Caz - grant funding specialist and charity advisor.

I help charities and non-profits find the right funding for them, make a clear and strong case, and feel more confident while they are doing it.

From my home town of Brighton, I work with organisations all over the country.

I work with charities, non-profits and grant funders of all shapes and sizes. I help teams at every level find clarity in the funding process, build confidence and develop skills that last.Whatever stage you're at, I'm here to help.

"This wasn't just funding advice, it was partnership. You brought heart, brains, and proper belief in what we do. Total gamechanger."
Dan Flanagan, Dad La Soul

About me

I love working with organisations striving to make the world a better place. And I know that for most of them, grant funding is one of the hardest parts of the job.

I cut my grant writing teeth working for a global consultancy, writing multimillion-pound bids for competitive tender.Twenty years on, I've worked as a fundraiser, grant-writer, grants assessor, small charity manager, and trustee - working with charities, academics and grant funders.I've seen it from every angle, and I use all of that experience to help charities and funders find their way through.Whether you need hands-on writing support, training for your team, or help building the foundations funders need to see, I can help. You can also find me on LinkedIn.

What i do

I support organisations through every stage of the funding journey - from getting ready, and making the case, to managing what comes after.

I also work with grant funders and larger organisations to build grant-writing confidence and capability across their teams and communities.

Before: I help you get grant-ready: clear on your impact, your story, and the foundations funders need to see.During: I help you find the right funders, dig down to understand what they want, and write an application - telling your story in your voice - that stands out. After: I help you manage your grant, report with confidence, and plan what comes next.

How we might work together

Every organisation is different, so I offer a range of ways to work together - flexible and ready to adapt to where you are.

  • Fundraising audit - an honest look at where you are and what you need

  • Grant-writing - you give me the information, and I write the funding application

  • Collaborative grant-writing - we write it together, I review and suggest edits, and you build skills along the way

  • Group training - for teams who want to grow their confidence and knowledge

  • 1-1 sessions - to focus on any sticky grant funding issues you're having

  • Writers' rooms - dedicated time and space to tackle the most challenging parts of your application, with support from me.

what they say

"You pitched it perfectly and fed into the general feeling of offering support, advice and nuggets of wisdom without it feeling too preachy or intimidating - meeting the client where they were at. Friendly, warm and relaxed. Its exactly the approach and atmosphere I'm looking to create with all our 'skill-sharers' and charity partners."
The Pearce Foundation

"Thank you Caz! Your support was and is stellar!"
Flourish Mentors

"It’s easy to understand the questions on a grant application form, but understanding what key information to include requires a skill we didn’t possess. Caz does, and her help was absolutely invaluable in getting us our first funding. We cannot thank her or recommend her enough."
Brighton Soup

"The session was incredibly well balanced, with a good mix of individual and group work, and the information was clearly presented and easy to understand."
